about

Welcome to my blog! I started this blog in April 2014 as a very informal, casual corner of the internet where I post stuff that I happen to have an interest in. I have a fairly serious history-related blog here, so I thought it might be nice to have this as a more informal thing.

I’m a tabletop gamer at heart, and publish a new blog every Tuesday showcasing a game from my own collection that I love. You can see the archive of that here! For 2016, I’ve also instituted a weekly “hobby progress” blog that shows what I’ve been up to with painting miniatures, which are being collected here!

That’s pretty much the entirety of the schedule I run. I like to talk about new game announcements, movies I’ve watched, books and comics that I’ve read, places I’ve visited and food that I’ve made/eaten – and you can look forward to that at fairly random intervals. I sometimes write short stories, too!

Onwards!

  1. Hello!
We are a small publishing house based in France, and we publish mostly sketchbooks and comic books. Our latest publication – scheduled for the end of January – is a collection of sketches and illustrations by Karl Kopinski, who has for example worked for Wizards of the Coast and Games Workshop, but also Ubisoft, Hasbro, and CMON. The book is full of illustrations of knights, Vikings, superheroes, and more.
After taking a look at your blog I thought you might be interested! If you’d like to receive a copy in order to review it on your blog, feel free to contact me: clemence.a@caurette.com !
