Stormcast Eternals Rangers!

I was not expecting this! I’m a big Stormcast fan (I recently worked out my army is currently over 2000 points of the golden guys), though there is an element of same-ness to a lot of the units. Sure, the weapons might be different, but otherwise, they can be a bit too uniform. The weapons options on these chaps look really interesting – what’s that orb in the hand of the chap top, second from the right? Hm!

We’re also getting a menagerie of gryph-hounds, as well as gryph-chargers, and some stuff called aetherwings. I hope that means we’ll be getting more beastie-riding Stormcast! New battletome is also exciting, though it does make the Stormcast feel a lot like the Space Marines of the Mortal Realms, and I’m not sure it’s a particularly great move. Though I will obviously be buying it!

Three books for one army? Hm.

While I’m not exactly anticipating a whole new change for my army’s direction, I am excited to add a unit or two of these guys to the collection, at any rate!

I just wish they didn’t look quite so Space Wolves-y!
